Cristiano Ronaldo Is The First & Only Player to Score 850 Goals

Legendary forward Cristiano Ronaldo now holds the title of the first and only player to score 850 goals in his career. The Portuguese striker made history breaking yet another record when he scored in the September 2nd game between Saudi Pro League Club Al Nassr and Al Hazem.

Al Nassr defeated Al Hazem 5 to 1, while Ronaldo achieved his new record. Since he arrived at Al Nassr, Ronaldo has scored 31 goals in 36 matches, which topped his memorable early season with Real Madrid when he scored 27 goals.

Ronaldo has gone viral many times for how well he is adapting to Saudi culture, wearing their traditional clothes and speaking a bit of Arabic, which added to his major popularity in the Arab world.

Ballon d’Or Snub: Is Ronaldo Still Relevant Back in Europe?

Some people, however, argue that Ronaldo is not relevant anymore in Europe. They believe his move to Saudi and vain attempts to still play in his forties are doing nothing but damage his legacy.

For the first time in two decades, Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be in the running for football’s most prestigious individual award, the Ballon d’Or. The football icon, who has represented Manchester United and Real Madrid, secured a remarkable 19 consecutive Ballon d’Or nominations from 2004 to 2022, winning the award five times. However, he didn’t make the final shortlist for this year’s award. The Ballon d’Or is coming this October 30th.
